This private residence is located near a serene Jain ashram in Gujarat. The design approach was to keep it simple, minimal and use honest materials, reflecting on Jain values. Simple massing elements with elegantly detailed grills and textured patterns adorn this residence. Passive cooling methods avoid direct sunlight falling inside any of the spaces yet they are brightly lit and cross ventilated. Full body white tiles, solid colours with wooden highlights and simple textures form the basic language of the interiors.
